The 1-line template
Yesterday: <verb past>. Today: <verb future>. Blocked by: <noun or "nothing">.
Three rules
- One verb per slot. "Shipped retention v2" not "I worked on retention because…".
- Past first, future second, blocker last. Reads like a sentence.
- "Nothing" is a valid blocker. Most days are.
Example
Yesterday: shipped retention v2. Today: drafting onboarding RFC. Blocked by: nothing.
